Duplex Pillow

Our new Duplex Pillow combines the best of two worlds! Imagine a pillow with two parallel chambers, just like two pillows sewn together to make one. One side holds the smooth and velvety millet hull filling, the other side keeps the less compact and more airy buckwheat hull filling.

Millet hull Night Pillows are found all over Europe where they have been used for centuries. Buckwheat hull Night Pillows come from Asia, where they have been known for centuries as well. Then there are rice hull pillows in Japan and spelt hull pillows in Germany. All hull pillows share the exact same benefits despite their very different texture: The weight of your head cannot press the air out of the pillow (as happens with all other traditional pillows) so hull pillows retain the same height night after night for years of use. Your spine is aligned in the correct position, your neck muscles can relax, and you awaken without headaches or shoulder neck tightness.

Our Duplex Pillow allows you to choose at your leisure and in the privacy of your home the filling you will prefer to sleep on. Both hull types offer the same firm and stable neck support, yet each filling feels distinctly differently.

The filling you decide to keep on top will hide the filling that will stay on the bottom. For example, if you prefer not to hear the rustling sounds of the buckwheat hulls and position the pillow with the millet hull filling on top, you will neither hear nor feel the buckwheat hull filling.

There is so much filling in each chamber that the hulls can move easily and freely to contour your head and neck all night, exactly like in our regular buckwheat hull/millet hull Night Pillows. If the Duplex pillow is a bit too high for you, simply open one of the zippers and remove some hulls. We suggest you remove hulls from the filling you like less (for example, if you want to sleep on the buckwheat hull side you can remove filling from the millet hull chamber). Both chambers have their own zipper (the 2 zippers are at opposite ends of the pillow).
