The
Pillow Company welcomes you to the most extensive
selection of 100% certified organic pillows in
the country! All our pillow fillings are grown, harvested, and
then certifed here in the United States, in strict complicance
with the law, without any pesticides or fumigation chemicals.
It is important to note that the term "organic" simply means "natural".
Hulls must be "certified organic" to have the proper meaning of
having
been grown without any pesticides or harmful chemicals. Many companies
deliberately use the word "organic" to mislead their customers. Only two countries
in the world supply certified organic hulls
such as buckwheat hulls (United States and Canada) and these hulls are considerably
more costly than those imported from Russia, the Ukraine or China. Low-cost
buckwheat hull pillows are always filled with hulls that do not originate from
North America and therefore will always contain pesticides. Make sure
to look for the words "certified organic" if you wish to sleep on a pillow that
is free of potentially harmful chemicals and hence hypo-allergenic.
Our pillows are professionally made in the United States for durability
and longevity, quite unlike the “handcrafted” or “home-made” pillows
that are sewn at home by a person whose hygienic routines are unknown.
We take pride in the highest quality manufacture in a professional
sewing facility where superbly qualified and experienced sewing
staff assure unsurpassed quality in a spotless sanitary environment.
Each of our pillows will have a life span of a minimum of 10 years.
All our Night Pillows have double seams to counter the heavy weight
of the hull filling and to prevent wear-out. The sewing quality
of our pillows is such, that you can keep your pillow indefinitely
as long as you take good care of it! After several years of use you may want to refluff your pillow by adding new hulls, or by replacing some of the filling with new hulls.
We offer both buckwheat hulls and millet hulls in loose form.
